“The Arizona Wildlife Conservancy is dedicated to the effective management and preservation of habitat through education and related activities”

The Arizona Wildlife Conservancy was formed in the summer of 2005 and was granted full tax exempt IRS 501 (c) 3 status in December of 2006. It will combine habitat stewardship with new land use ideas for Arizona residents of widely varied interests.  Our philosophy embraces conservation, but differs from some other conservation organizations in that we feel that good land stewardship should go hand in hand with recreational and educational opportunities. The AWC plans to bring outdoor recreational and educational opportunities to a number of user groups and individuals while at the same time applying good land stewardship. The Arizona Wildlife Conservancy will locate habitat areas and negotiate with land owners using land purchases, land leases, conservation easements and other strategies that authorize the AWC to develop and administer programs that will combine stewardship with recreational activities that are of little or no negative consequence to the habitat and in this process provide educational opportunities to those that might otherwise not be given an opportunity.
