The Arizona
Wildlife Conservancy is dedicated to assisting its’ user groups develop
educational programs that will aid in recruitment and retention of each
activity.
Current
Projects:
We are working with Arizona Department of Game and Fish staff to develop an
expanded phase of the DGF hunter safety course that includes hunting safely with
hunting dogs, a program that will be accomplished jointly with the AWC and the
AZ DGF working together to develop curriculum and hands on opportunities. When
implemented, the program will include a “final exam” that will allow
participants to actually hunt over trained dogs, handled by AWC members.
This
program will not only teach young hunters proper gun dog hunting etiquette, but
will build sporting dog interest among them. We also hope to identify and
implement at least one other educational program in 2006 that will not involve
sporting dogs.
Future Projects:
The Arizona Wildlife Conservancy
will work with its’ Associate member clubs to
develop educational opportunities designed to attract new interest and will also
develop educational opportunities designed to kindle program participation among
various youth groups and organizations.
The Arizona Wildlife Conservancy will offer a variety of educational
opportunities for all ages. Our Conservation Education programs will be planned
to serve people who are interested in learning more about the natural world.
They will include programs developed with 4-H and Scouting Organizations |
